Primary Concert: Around The World in 60 minutes
Primary Concert: Around The World in 60 minutes
We are excited to be putting together this performance for Y1-Y6 in a few weeks. The classes will take us on an exciting journey of dance from around the world. Every child and every class will be performing. The production is on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th July in our school hall. Each day there will be 2 performances - 1 from Y1-3 and 1 from Y4-6. Tickets are free but parents do need to sign up via the links below to request tickets. It is important that we carefully control numbers in the audience for fire regulations, so this is a ticket only event. Parents without tickets may not be able to watch the show if the performance is full.

Each child will be allocated 2 tickets initially. If you have multiple children, you will need to request tickets for each child and then you will be allocated multiple tickets. Registration for tickets will close on the 17th of July. There will be a voluntary collection for our charities at each performance.

Here is a document that shows the phonics letter sounds (phonemes) and words that are taught to the students during their time in KS1. The word banks consist of sample words that contain specific letter sounds. These word banks can be used as a guide when practising the skills of blending (putting sounds together to read a word) and segmenting (separating sounds to spell a word).

We will be conducting our assessments for Term 1. Please be assured that these assessments are conducted in a non-pressure environment, and are done during the respective lessons. The topics for the assessments will be content that has already been covered previously. The purpose of our assessments is to inform our teaching and ensure that students have grasped the concepts effectively, providing valuable feedback for their learning progress. The time frame for the assessment are as follows:
Week 9 (Between 4 - 6 March) - Mandarin, BM, English Reading, English Grammar and Spelling,
Maths (arithmetic).
Week 10 (Between 11 - 15 March) - English Writing, Phonics, Maths (Reasoning)
Should your child be absent in the coming weeks, we will do our best to catch up on the assessments, however if it is a prolonged leave from school, there is no guarantee that your child will complete all the assessments.
