Start Your Tax Return: Log in to your TurboTax account and start your tax return. Follow the guided prompts to begin entering your information.
Select Import W-2 Option: When prompted to enter your W-2 information, select the option to import your W-2.
Choose Import Method: You can either import your W-2 electronically from your employer or use your smartphone to take a photo of your W-2 form.
Electronic Import: Enter your employer’s name or identification number (EIN). TurboTax will search for your employer’s records and import your W-2 data.
Photo Import: Use your smartphone’s camera to take a clear photo of your W-2 form. TurboTax’s software will read the data and automatically populate the required fields.

Sign in to your TurboTax Online account.
Begin your tax return by following the guided prompts.
Type "W-2" in the search bar and select the "Jump to" link for W-2 import.
Enter your employer’s name or identification number (EIN) from Box B of your W-2.
Follow the prompts to import your W-2 information directly from your employer. TurboTax will search for your employer’s records and import the data.
Review the imported data to ensure it is accurate. Make any necessary corrections if needed.

If you can't import your W-2, you can manually enter the information or use the TurboTax mobile app to take a photo of your W-2.
