5th grade science has a strong focus on the scientific method and its implementation to gain a deeper understanding of the Earth’s major interactions (matter, photosynthesis, water cycle, etc). Students will use hands on experiments, station work, and independent research to expand and demonstrate their findings.

The focus of 5th grade social studies is human geography. The goal of the course is to embed map skills along with the 5 themes of geography to open students lenses to other cultures. Students will study how environmental factors can play a role in human cultures and also how humans impact their surroundings.

I am excited to start my 6th year at Parker! I have taught 5th and 6th grades across various contents. I am love exploring and teaching kids about the world and how things work.

I live in Taunton with my husband and three year old daughter, Madeline Leia. I have two adorable cats named Fred and Susan. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, and there's a good chance I am one of The Monkees biggest fans.
