Find Create Absence.
Click "Select Dates".
Pick the days you are planning on being absent.
Enter your reason. For a normal day off, you will want to pick "Local Leave".
Select "Full Day" or "Half Day".
Click "Quick Create".

Visit the Help Desk.

Choose our school. Enter your room number. Describe your issue.
At the bottom right hand corner, click Submit Request.

Navigate to Ascender Teacher Portal.
On the left menu, find Attendance.
Click "Post/View Attendance".
Choose "Period 03". This is the most important step!
Choose "Absent" if a student is not present. Do NOT click Tardy.
Insert your PIN and Submit the attendance between 9:15 and 9:30.

Click "Add Referral".
In the middle box, enter the student's last name and select the correct student.
Select "Violation of Student Code of Conduct".
In the Referrer Comments, describe in simple details what occurred. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY OTHER STUDENT NAMES IN THIS SECTION, and refrain from typing full inappropriate words. Remove emotion and stick to the facts! (Remember, parents can view this statement.)
Select your class by "Teacher Course" and the location of the incident.
Check if the student has been sent to the office already.
Enter your PIN and Submit the Referral.
