Our middle school MUN team is going to TASMUN

In 9+ meetings we will prepare for the TASMUN conference April 16+17

How will we prepare?

• You will choose a country to represent

• You will choose a committee to serve on

• You will research your country and your committee issue

• You will come up with a solution to one of the two global issues that your committee is tasked with – and write a RESOLUTION

• You will write speeches explaining and advocating for your resolution

• You will write a speech about your country and its stance on your committee's issues

And, working together in country teams and committee groups, we'll have FUN too!

MS TASMUN TEAM PRACTICE DATES

Mondays, 3:45 - 5:15 PM + some Wednesday help sessions

January: 17, 24

February: 7, 14, 21

March: 14, 21, 28

March 28: special meeting: full Conference Simulation, 3:45-7:30 PM

April 11: final practice

April 16-17: TASMUN Conference, Saturday (full day) & Sunday (half day)

for individual speech and resolution-writing help**

Optional WEDNESDAY for 1:1 help with research, speeches & resolution writing
