MAKING AN ELECTRIC CAR WITH A SIMPLE ELECTRIC CIRCUIT AND CARDBOARD.
The students from 5th grade studied how to create a simple circuit. Then, they learned how to make a serial and a parallel circuit using batteries, wires, a switch, a small fan, and cardboard. When they learned the whole process they started to make an electric car using recyclable materials.
STANDARDS:
5th- 3–5-ETS1-3. Plan and carry out fair tests in which variables are controlled and failure points are considered to identify aspects of a model or prototype that can be improved.
