Rise & shine

sunday 23rd june- Watford palace Theatre

Dress rehearsals Friday 21st June (Musical Theatre) and Saturday 22nd June (Everyone else)- Rickmansworth School

Welcome to our Summer Show Information website. The show this year is called Rise & Shine!

New information, timetables and costuming details will be updated once they are known.

Here you will find out everything you need to know about being a part of our Summer Show at the Watford Palace Theatre!

The reason for doing a show like this, every other year, is for our students to have an amazing performance experience. We want them to feel safe, comfortable and confident on the stage, and we hope that by performing in a beautiful, professional theatre such as the Watford Palace Theatre, they will have a magical experience. Hair, make up and costumes are all part of the experience, and help your child to feel involved in all the magic that comes with putting on a show of this scale.

Each class will perform one show number lasting approximately 3 minutes. If your child is in several classes, they will do a number for each class they attend. There will be a separate costume and theme for each class. Every student will also be a part of our finale.

The show usually last approx an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half. There are two shows. One is at 4pm and the other at 7pm. Technical rehearsals start between 10am-12pm TBC. A timetable will be issued a few weeks before to let you know what time your child is called for. Some children will be required at the theatre from 12pm until the end of the second show, so will need to bring plenty of food and water with them.

Show day is a long and tiring day, however, you will find that the adrenaline of being part of this experience gets your child through it, and they absolutely love it!

If this is your fist show with us you may feel a bit daunted by it, as there is so much going on, and we hope that this website will answer any questions that you may have.

Beginners ballet and pre-primary ballet are only required to be in one show. Please check the 'Which Show' tab to find out which show your child is in.
