Mrs. Jaworski started working at Tapestry in September of 2013 as a long-term school counselor while Mrs. Schroeder was on maternity leave. The following school year she came back as an Academic Advisor in the Guidance Office. Mrs. Jaworski graduated from Buffalo State College in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education where she became certified in Childhood Education, grades 1-6, as well as English Language Arts, grades 7-12. She then went on to graduate from St. Bonaventure University in 2008 with a Masters degree in School Counseling. She has an extensive high school counseling background working in both public and private settings before coming to Tapestry.

Mrs. Schroeder started working at Tapestry in 2007 and is currently as the high school counselor. In 2006, Vicki graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from SUNY Geneseo. The following year, she received her Master's Degree in Mathematics Education from the University at Buffalo. She began her career at Tapestry as the ninth grade Integrated Algebra teacher but decided that teaching math was not her true passion and wanted to work with students on personal/social, college, career and academic issues. Therefore, she went back to school to earn another Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University at Buffalo. Mrs. Schroeder has worked in the guidance office since the first graduating class of 2010 and loves working at Tapestry as the school counselor!

A School Counselor is a professional educator who holds a Master’s Degree and New York State Certification in School Counseling. The role of the School Counselor is to help students as they seek to identify and achieve personal goals and assume rights and responsibilities in various life roles at each developmental stage. A School Counselor is a resource person, a coordinator, a mediator, a consultant, a mentor, a group facilitator, and a collaborator.
