Dear Fabulous Fourth Graders,
Just three more days of instruction to go this week, can you believe it? Do your best to work hard and finish strong. On Thursday, you will receive a link for the virtual field day that the wonderful PE teachers put together for you. On Friday, you will receive a link to an end of year reflection form from Mrs. Pangborn.
Special Dates to remember:
June 22 or 23rd - Final Live Crew Celebration
June 24 - Tech drop off/Supply pick up/End of Year Parade! Families are invited to drive through at any time between 1pm - 2pm to say goodbye to your fourth grade teachers!
Math - In Math we will continue new learning, which will help you in fifth grade next year. Follow along with the lessons on Zearn and they will warm you up, show you how to do it, and let you practice. You should also practice on IXL, but do the Zearn lesson first. If you are feeling stuck, please email a teacher!
Literacy and Expedition - We are reading the last chapter of The Hope Chest on Monday. Please complete the exit ticket form. There will be a culminating exit ticket for Tuesday, but no new chapter to read. The questions should be answered using any appropriate information from anywhere in the text. There will be no expedition assignment on Wednesday.
Writing - We started a special writing project last week. Please continue to work on this writing assignment this week and send it your teacher by the end of the week. We are experiencing a great connection between our text and events taking place around our community, the nation, and the world. This writing project will help you sort through and write about these connections.
Crew - Live Crews will continue to be held on Google Meets Monday through Wednesday. To get on, sign into your student gmail account, find the nine dot cube on the top right hand corner, this is Google's menu. Click on that and find "meets". After you click on that, see Ms. Tabitha and Ms. Rachael's emails to see your class password. Once you enter that, you will enter Crew!
If you are having difficulty, please reach out to your teacher so we can help!
I know there is a lot of sad and scary things going on in our world right now. I want you to know one very important thing: just because we can't be together, doesn't mean that your teachers aren't with you! We love and believe in you and we are on your side every day. You are our future and our future looks BRIGHT!
If you have questions or are feeling uneasy about things here are some good stories to listen to. And as always, please reach out to your teacher if you need someone to talk to!
