Hello Families,
We've made it to the last week of online learning! The last day of lessons will be posted on Wednesday June 17th. Raz-kids and Zearn will remain available throughout the summer for you to use if you'd like. Your child's teacher may also recommend various activities and resources to keep your child engaged over summer. We recommend students practice reading, writing and math over the break each year, but it will be especially important with the closure that they keep stretching their brain so they don't lost any gains they have made this year.
Wednesday, June 17th- Trimester 3 closes- no new lessons will be posted after this date
Thursday, June 18th- Virtual Field Day planned by Miss Katie
Friday, June 19th- Family survey and student reflection (will be on lessons plans and sent via email)
Monday, June 22nd or Tuesday June 23rd- Last Crew session for your child's class.
Wednesday, June 24th- 9:00 am -12:00 Tech return/library book drop off*/packet drop off/belongings pick up and Parking Lot Parade- 10:00am-11:00 - We hope to see you stop by during this time for an end of the year farewell.
*Please note that library books can be dropped off at any time through the lunch pickup at school. There is a bin for library books when you drive around.
Make sure you check out the digital memory book if your child is interested in working on it! Students will also continue to learn about American symbols for expedition, with a special lesson or two about Juneteenth!
It has been a pleasure to work with your child and family this year. We have all shown a lot of perseverance and resilience with the situation we were faced with. Our team wishes you a safe and fun summer filled with family time and relaxation. We look forward to seeing everyone in the fall.
Sincerely
The First Grade Team
Love, Mrs. Christine, Mrs. Beth & Mrs. Michele
