Last Day of School
June 18th Half Day
Dear BES Families,
I want to thank you for the opportunity to be your principal for the past twenty-one years. This has been the most fulfilling time of my life and though challenging at times, I have loved having the ability to work with and care for so many amazing children. Our kids grow so much over their years at Brookfield and it is due to the teamwork between home and school. I will miss you all so very much. BES will always be my work home. Nothing else will every be able to take its place.
Please email us with any questions, concerns, or attendance needs!
Happy Retirement Dr.Hosterman, We will miss you!

Peer Leaders
This was our first year of having 5th/6th grade peer leaders work hard to make BES a better place. They met 1 or 2 times a week to help teachers with tasks, pick up recycling, maintain bulletin boards, tend to the lost and found, restock recess equipment, and feel the pride of helping out their community. All the staff are extremely proud and grateful for this helpful group of students!

As your child transitions to the 7th grade, the Junior High Health Team has requested you to complete the Junior High School Health Form and return it to me. I will include it in your child's documents when I transfer their records.
If your child will be taking prescription medication at school next year, the Junior High Health Office will require a Health Care Provider’s order (dated for the school year) and signed parent permission. Documents can be found here.
As a reminder, the Junior High Health Office will require the following health records:
1. Physical exam within 12 months of 9/2026.
If your child has already had a physical exam and immunizations after 9/2025, you may send it to me and I will add it to their health record.
If an appointment is scheduled after June 18th (last day of school), please send a copy of the physical exam to the Junior High at that time
2. Proof of immunization: Tdap and meningococcal vaccine for entry into grade 7
Please reach out to me, or the Junior High Health Office Staff, if you have any questions.
