Erin's Sessions:

Googly Games - Forms, and Slides have so much more than meets the eye. Use Slides templates to create games, secret links, secret messages, and more! Utilize Google Forms to create a digital escape room, and use Google Sheets to create your own Wordle puzzles. Participants will learn how to access pre-made gamified templates for engaging learners in hands-on activities that will unleash creativity and meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles. Participants will need a Google account to begin creating these learning adventures for their students. This session is geared toward attendees with prior experience using Google Workspace.

Clean Up Your Classroom - We've heard it before - "I can't find it!" Learn how to organize your Google Classroom assignments, announcements, and class materials for optimum student success so that you never have to hear those 4 dreaded words! Discover features from the student and parent point of view and give your students and families the playbook they need to be successful. Utilize settings to clean up your class stream, develop a student-friendly portal for students to track their progress, and learn how to keep parents in the loop with regularly scheduled guardian email summaries.

Keen Screencasts - Screencasts are an excellent, easy-to-use teaching tool that helps students learn at their own pace! Learn how to use the Screencastify Google Chrome extension to demonstrate concepts for all grade levels and subject areas! Participants will view a screencast from a student point of view with focus mouse, annotations, and embedded webcam tools as well as a Screencastify Submit assignment. The remainder of the session will give participants guided practice and hands-on use of these tools along with Screencastify's video editing features to make their ideas come to life! Participants must have a Google account in addition to their own laptop/chromebook with the latest Chrome browser.

Get Published with Google - Did you know you can publish Docs, Slides, Sheets and Drawings to the web? Why would you want to? What is the difference between sharing and publishing? We will take a look at some practical applications and some that are just handy! (All Levels)


What's New with Google Docs? - Google has added some features. Let's take a look at table templates, drop-downs, emoji comments, the ability to embed a full page in Google Sites and going page-less. We will also look at some more ways to perk up boring Google docs. (All Levels)


Re-energize with Travel (virtual travel) - Gas prices are high. Travel is expensive, but not with Google Earth and Maps. Let's explore some multidisciplinary possibilities without leaving our chairs. (All Levels)

Automate With Ease - Check out and learn how to use the Google Add-On Autocrat (Flexible, easy to use document merge tool that creates PDF or shared Documents from spreadsheet data). In this session we will look at examples of how to create certificates, mini-report cards, templates for student work, welcome postcards, and so much more! (Intermediate/All Levels)

"Dream Theme" with Slides - Learn how to take the Google Slides you know and love and make them your own. In this session, you will learn how to edit the theme to make your slides look like you dreamed they could! (Intermediate/All Levels)

WYD-WYD Zen Zone - Do you have students ask; I finished, now what do I do? In this session, we will look at Google products that will keep your students engaged after their assignment is complete. Learn how to create a one-stop “What You Do - When You’re Done” Google Site so that you can start school prepared for this inevitable situation! (All Levels)

Neal's Sessions:

Get Going With Google Sheets (Beginner/Intermediate) - Does the word ‘spreadsheet’ make you cringe? Well it shouldn’t. Data is everywhere and is becoming critical in education. In this session we will geek out in Google Sheets and show you how spreadsheets can be your best friend. We will learn the basics of spreadsheets - navigation, creating (simple) formulas, analyzing data etc. and will also show you some cool tricks to impress your friends at parties. This session is geared towards teachers with no prior spreadsheet experience or with minimal experience. (Participants will need a laptop/Chromebook of to participate in this hands-on session)

Organizing Your Digital Life (All Levels) - Do you have too many tabs open in your browser? Do you have bookmarks running down the side of your screen? Do you have hundreds (or thousands) of emails in your inbox? Do you have random files in your Google Drive that you can never find? If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions OR you want to a better job staying organized, then this session is for you. In this session you will learn practical ways to help you get and stay organized in Chrome, Gmail and Drive, which will save you valuable time each and every day.

Google Booster Shot (All Levels) - This session will highlight both new changes and some lesser-known features across Google's core products. You will learn how these changes will impact your teaching and student learning. Specifically, we will move out of the DOC ages and SLIDE into some really cool SHEET(s) that will be exSITEing and will DRIVE more students to excel in your CLASSROOM. This session is geared toward attendees with prior experience using Google Workspace.

Takes Two To Tango: You and Google Forms - Come discover the basics of using Google Forms as a tool for students and ways to communicate with parents. They are more than just a quiz and assessment tool! We will explore the ways Google Forms can be utilized to engage learners. Templates will be shared for you to use Forms in the content area. We will look at how they can be used to make life more efficient and effective. You will have some time to explore using Google Forms as a tool, thinking about ways you could integrate it into classroom instruction. (All Levels)


A Hidden Gem: Learning & Planning with Google Draw! - Have you ever wondered how to get kids thinking visually but were unsure of what tool to use? Come learn how to use Google Draw to invite students to create and show what they know! We will look at various tools offered, discuss lesson ideas, and seek new ways draw could be used. Teachers will leave for resources to play and practice at home! (All Levels)


Connecting to Your Classroom Community: Engaging Families in the Learning Process - Ever wondered how to use Google Sites to connect with your families? - If so, this session is for you! We will check out various components of sites to create a dynamic family portal to help communicate information to the home. We will begin building our own sites using a model to help guide the process! We will be looking at other Google goodies to enhance your family portal as we dive into connecting to our classroom communities! (All Levels)
