In the medical magnet program we explore a range of medical professions. Our lessons focus on engaging the students in local and global healthcare challenges.

Healthcare professionals are required to make quick, critical decisions while remaining ethical in patient care. We encourage our students to exercise ethical decision making skills in daily classroom activities.

A wide variety of communication skills between the different healthcare professionals are essential in proper patient care. We strive to educate our students on the importance of collaborating with their peers now, and how it will impact their effectiveness in their future careers.

Our department models integrity and honesty which are key components for professionalism. We hold our students to a high standard as future healthcare professionals.

Healthcare professionals often work in environments with different cultures and beliefs on a daily basis, therefore we challenge the students to appreciate and respect diversity in the classroom.
