1st Round Auditions
If you are interested in auditioning for either our LMEA District IX Honor Choir or for the LMEA All-State Choir, the 1st AND 2nd Round LMEA audition piece is "Ezekiel" by Stacey V. Gibbs (see below).
The auditions will take place on Saturday, September 19th and will cost $15 to audition. Anyone who makes it into the LMEA District IX Honor Choir will take part in a few after school rehearsals with other schools and will perform on Friday, November 13th for the cost of $50.
In the meantime, begin familiarizing yourselves with the piece by clicking on the YouTube video and the individual learning tracks below.
** Students who make District Honor Choir will receive a PIN for their stole at graduation, and students who make All-State Honor Choir will receive a MEDAL at graduation!! **

2nd Round Auditions
If you qualify for the LMEA All-State Choir after the 1st Round audition results come in, you will have an additional $15 fee for the 2nd Round audition. The same recording that you made for your 1st Round audition will be used for your 2nd Round audition; you will not need to re-audition. Anyone who makes it to the All-State 2nd Round level will attend and perform at the LMEA Conference January 15th-18th at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel!
