Hi y'all,

I am Yang Yang, a senior undergraduate student trying to take some graduate courses ;)

I am currently finishing up my classes, looking for jobs and doing research with Dr. Xia Hu and Dr. Ali Mostafavi on disaster resilience.

I have also been a big video game lover since my childhood, from real-time-strategy games to sandbox games and first person shooter. Becoming a game designer was also once my dream, when I was in high school.

My reasons for taking this course are,

1. I mainly learn about the rest of world from computer media, instead of traditional media like television and radio like my parents. My exposure to computer media since I was kid has made me interested in learning more about it.

2. From gaming to watching streamers, I find computer media to have much more host-audience interaction, compare to traditional media. Personally I feel more involved with computer media.

3. Looking at the downfall of newspapers and radios, I believe traditional media is going to be replaced by new media soon.
