Two Funded Ph.D. Student Positions Available for Spring/Fall 25

New Assistant Professor, Dr. Wei Yin, within the School of Applied Engineering and Technology (SAET) and the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is looking for two Ph.D. students who want to pursue a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Biomechanics. Dr. Yin's research centers on human motion simulation, wearables, and robotics. The doctoral students will work on multiple Biomechanics research projects related to digital human modeling, exoskeletons, reinforcement learning, rehabilitation engineering, and human-robot collaboration. This position is fully funded, covering tuition and a competitive stipend ($46,000 per year).
