The TAMU Math Club is an umbrella organization for all the other math affiliated clubs on campus. It shares officers with Pi Mu Epsilon. We host biweekly meetings usually on Tuesday evenings. Attendance at meetings is open to all, regardless of membership!
Meetings typically fall into two categories: first there are speaker invited talks, where we invite faculty members to present their research and experience. In addition, we also arrange for prospective employers to visit and give presentations about their companies to the members. Secondly, we host game nights where we have fun and play some games typically with a mathematical twist.
We also distribute information about departmental activities and regional conferences and contests in mathematics. We accept all majors, undergrad and grad students, and non-students at ANY time during the school year. There are NO DUES, and attending any of our meetings makes you a member!
The Math Club normally meets twice every month on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in BLOC 302. Come hang out, learn something new, meet new people, and enjoy the FREE FOOD!
