Great News!
Under the mentorship of Drs. Wencai Liu and Xueyin Wang, PReMa students Yiding Max Tang and Justin Zhou, have published a paper " Semi-algebraic discrepancy estimates for multi-frequency shift sequences with applications to quantum dynamics", in Journal of Differential Equations, Paper No. 114196, 2026. Congratulations to Yiding Max Tang and Justin Zhou on this excellent work.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Chun-Hung Liu, three PReMa students, Rishi Balaji, Victoria Khazhinsky, and Kevin Qin, posted the paper "Odd list-coloring of graphs of small Euler genus with no short cycles of specific types". arXiv version

Our PReMa program has been awarded the Dolciani Mathematics Enrichment Grants from the Mathematica Association of America and the Mary P. Dolciani Halloran Foundation for the year 2025-2026.
Our former PReMa student, Tarun Rapaka, has been accepted into the MIT PRIMES program.
Our PReMa student, Yiding Max Tang (John Burroughs School, St. Louis, MO) was invited to give a talk and a poster "Discrepancy Estimates and Quantum Dynamics" at the "2025 TX-LA undergraduate Mathematics Research Conference at UH" on March 22-23, 2025 (Conference webpage).
Under the mentorship of Dr. Wencai Liu, PReMa students Steven Ning, Tarun Rapaka, and Xuxuan Joyce Zheng, along with their assistant mentor, Ethan Luo, recently published the paper "Ambarzumyan-type Mixed Inverse Spectral Problems for Jacobi Matrices" in The Pi Mu Epsilon Journal (Vol. 16, No. 1, pp. 27-32, 2024).
Our PReMa student, Steven Ning, gave a presentation about his work with Dr. Kun Wang in the MAA (Mathematical Association of America ) MathFest conference in Indianapolis on August 10th, 2024.
Dr. Sherry Gong received the NSF Career Award in 2024.
Our PReMa program has been awarded the Dolciani Mathematics Enrichment Grants from the MAA (Mathematica Association of America) for the year 2024-2025.
Xiaoyu Su --- an instructor of PReMa, has been selected to receive a 2024 Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching.
In 2023, Dr. Wencai Liu received the Frontiers of Science Award at the inaugural International Congress of Basic Science.
Andrew Yu, a former PReMa student has been admitted into Harvard University.
