MEET YOUR SI
Howdy and welcome to Biochemistry 410!!! My name is Carol Gerges, and I’m super excited to be your SI for Biochemistry this semester. I am a class of 2026 Biomedical Sciences major at TAMU. I plan to pursue a career as a Physician in the near future, and I have applied to medical schools this cycle! Some of my hobbies are playing basketball and birdbanding! A fun fact about me is that I am Egyptian! However, I grew up in Cypress, TX, and graduated from Cypress Ranch High School, Class of 2022!
I know this class can be tough, but whether you're struggling to understand a tricky concept or just need advice on how to prep for exams, I'm here to help you succeed. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need a little extra guidance! Let’s make this a great semester :)

About Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction is a program under the Academic Success Center that aims to increase retention and decrease DFQ rates for high-enrollment gateway courses. As the SI Leader for this course, I will be sitting in class with y'all and holding 2 SI sessions a week where I create activities to assist y’all in the content of this course.
Research conducted by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction shows that students who attend SI sessions regularly earn higher grades than students who do not participate.
