About Us
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is a global organization for professionals dedicated to advancing the safety, health, and environmental field. The Texas A&M ASSP student chapter is one of 70 recognized student sections over nine regions, with the Central Texas Chapter as our parent group.
Our student chapter provides valuable opportunities for professional development and networking. Industry professionals from sectors such as oil and gas, construction, chemical manufacturing, aerospace, and environmental (EHS) attend our meetings to share insights about their work, offer career advice, and discuss internship and job opportunities. S-ASSP also offers professional development workshops and student volunteer events.
