Mohammad Mahdi Ghahramani was born in Shiraz, Iran. He earned the B.E. degree with First Class Honours in Microelectronics from University College Cork, Ireland, under the guidance of Peter Kennedy. In undergrad, he was the prestigious Undergraduate Research Fellow at Rowland Institute at Harvard University where he worked with circuit-design guru and author of the iconic The Art of Electronics book Win Hill. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, advised by Mike Flynn.
He previously spent over a decade in senior design roles at Qualcomm and AMD, leading innovations in RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits for wireless and server products deployed in millions of devices.
He has authored several publications in top-tier conferences and journals, holds multiple patents, and was a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at RFIC 2015.
He is passionate about teaching and strives to inspire in students a lifelong curiosity for learning.
