Richard graduated from Columbia University with a double major in Psychology and Hispanic Studies in 2022 and completed his M.S. in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Padova in Italy in 2024. He hopes to further develop his academic and professional skills in his role as lab manager before eventually pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Richard is interested in the utility of psychophysiological indices both as measures of progress in psychological interventions and as a method of intervention development. In the future he would like to apply these indices to study the development of internalizing disorders in patients with neurological damage like TBI or stroke and to better understand the role of emotional granularity in these disorders. In his spare time, he enjoys baking and trying new restaurants.
