Only students in the 2021-2022 Undergraduate Research Scholars thesis program can register to present.
Individual and team presentations are accepted.
Team instructions:
Teams must work together to complete this registration.
One submission per team.
All team members must present a portion of the presentation unless fulfilling the program presentation requirement at different venues.
All presentations are virtual and asynchronous, and will be made available to the Texas A&M campus community online from February 23-March 2, 2022.
There will be no live presentations, only pre-recorded video presentations.
Presentations will remain available for Active Listeners and Attendees to review for 1 week.
Students must present on camera for their pre-recorded presentation. Digital poster PDFs, slide deck PDFs, and other supplemental files (extra videos, creative artifacts, etc.) may be submitted along with your pre-recorded presentation.
Each pre-recorded presentation is a maximum of 10 minutes.
Talk to your faculty advisor about which presentation type fits your discipline best.
Pre-recorded Research Presentation Accompanied by a PDF of Poster or Slides (Video of Presenter on Camera + one PDF)
Pre-recorded Research Presentation (Video of Presenter on Camera Only)
Pre-recorded Research Presentation Accompanied by Performance or Demonstration (Video of Presenter on Camera + Video)
Abstracts will be publicly available online in the event’s abstract book.
Do your best to draft an abstract based on your current research progress. We know that you may not have all of your results yet, so the abstract you register with now may be different from the one in your final thesis.
Abstracts must be between 200 and 350 words (maximum 1,800 characters).
Talk to your faculty advisor about which type of abstract fits your discipline best.
Take caution entering special characters such as symbols, equations, and accents. You must individually copy and paste special characters into your abstract when completing this form.
Talk to your faculty advisor about which disciplinary field(s) fit your project best. Select the filter(s) that are most appropriate.
Submission of Part 1 indicates your commitment to submitting Part 2. Part 1 will be used to assign presentations to Active Listeners, who will provide you with written feedback.
Each pre-recorded, asynchronous presentation is 10 minutes maximum.
You are required to appear on camera. Videos with audio only will not be accepted.
The pre-recorded video of you presenting your research may be accompanied by additional presentation materials.
You may prepare a PDF (e.g., of a poster or slides), or an extra video (e.g., of a performance, creative artifact, etc.) to accompany your pre-recorded research presentation.
If you elect to not use a visual aid, just a pre-recorded video of you presenting your research on camera should be submitted.
Your pre-recorded video (10 minutes maximum) of your research presentation must be uploaded to YouTube. Paste the link into the form field (only YouTube links will be supported). Please make the YouTube video settings as UNLISTED.
Your pre-recorded video (and any additional presentation materials) is your presentation.
Visit the Attendees page for information on how to create an account on the ForagerOne-Symposium Platform.
Keep in mind the process to attend the event is different from submitting a presentation to the platform.
