Who We are
FREE Aggies (Feminists for Reproductive Equity And Education) is an inclusive, reproductive-justice organization at A&M. FREE Aggies was founded in 2012 as Pro-Choice Aggies, and later renamed to FREE Aggies. Reproductive Justice was a movement founded out of the lack of inclusivity and intersectionality in the reproductive rights movements, and centers the most oppressed groups in its activism. It is founded on the belief that all individuals and communities must have the knowledge, resources, and power to make sustainable and liberating decisions about their bodies and lives. Reproductive justice is not just limited to abortion access and feminism-- it includes environmental justice, LGBTQIA+ liberation, anti-racism, and anything else you can think of!
What We Do
We are a direct-action group and a Planned Parenthood Generation Action chapter that aims to educate students and train them to pursue advocacy at the local, state, and national level. We educate students on reproductive justice topics at our biweekly meetings, plan protests and advocacy events, and provide free sexual health resources to students at TAMU and in the local community. We have the longest-running resource service of any student organization at A&M, and we have continued to expand it, partnering with organizations like Jane's Due Process.
