Given the inability to bring employers and students together in a live setting on campus, we are restructuring our annual Interview Day into a week-long virtual event. This online connection event is part of our Financial Planning Career & Education Conference and it is meant to showcase both regional and national employment opportunities for students.

This online connection event is part of our Financial Planning Career & Education Conference and it is meant to showcase both regional and national employment opportunities for students.
In place of interview sessions, we are hosting Live Virtual Career Connection Sessions for individual companies. Students in our program will be invited to attend your dedicated session to learn more about your company and available job opportunities.

Our vision is for you to use your dedicated session to highlight available positions, showcase your company's vision, and talk about what makes your team unique. And best of all, there is no cost to you!

FORMAT
- Live Virtual Connection Sessions will run from 8AM – noon, and then 1PM – 5PM on Monday, October 12 and Tuesday, October 13 ONLY.
- Sessions will be offered in 30-minute blocks, but we will end the sessions at the 25-minute mark to give everyone a short break before moving into the next scheduled session.
- These Live Sessions are not interview sessions. We encourage companies to prepare a short 10-12 minute presentation that highlights your organization and any available opportunities (internships, full time positions, training programs, etc).
The idea is to give students participating in your session a better understanding of your firm and employment opportunities that may be of interest to them.
- If you are currently hiring or preparing to hire at a later date, we can share your job posting with our students before the event. Please have all job descriptions ready to go by Oct. 1.

- After we receive your registration form, someone from our office will get in touch to schedule a timeslot for Oct. 12 & 13 that works best with your schedule.
- Your team will need to identify one person from your company to speak during your designated time slot.
- Our team will handle setting up the Zoom meeting room in advance. We will share the link with you the week before the event.
- If you cannot participate in the Live Session, or if we run out of available timeslots, we can pre-record a session with you and make it available to our students to view later.

- On the day of the event, someone from our team will moderate your session – first, by welcoming everyone to the broadcast, then a short introduction before handing the mic over to you. At the 20-minute mark, the session host will ask you to start winding down, and then end the session at the 25-minute mark.
- The Live Connection Sessions will be available to all students affiliated with the Texas A&M Financial Planning Program (Financial Planning Student Association, students enrolled in the Financial Planning Minor, and students currently enrolled in our financial planning courses).
- The Live Connection Sessions are not interview sessions. This is your opportunity to highlight your company, tell students more about your company, why you like working at your firm, etc.
- We will share résumé books with registered participants by Oct. 7.

There is no charge for you to participate in this virtual event. Space is limited, so the earlier you register, the earlier we can start marketing your session to our students.

We have a job board set up specifically for this event that is available to all students associated with the Financial Planning Program. After you register, we will coordinate with your contact person to collect job descriptions. The earlier we receive your job description, the more time we will have to market it to our students.

We are leaving the interview schedule and platform up to each individual company. At this time, we are unable to provide a reliable platform for matching and scheduling

We encourage companies to decide ahead of time how they want to communicate with students. Do you want students to email you directly if they are interested in your job? Or do you prefer to initiate the conversation with students? We will share résumé books with registered participants by Oct. 7.

Once a company signs up for a session, they will be expected to provide a representative to speak during their designated time slot. If something comes up and you need to cancel or reschedule your scheduled session, please contact the Financial Planning Program at financialplanning@tamu.edu no later than October 5.
