Howdy, my name is Ashton Ochoa, and I am an Agricultural Education major at Texas A&M University. I am originally from Houston, TX and during high school I raised rabbits while I was in FFA. I previously attended Wharton County Junior College where I earned the "Outstanding Student in Agriculture" award. I have taught early childhood education for 3 years and earned my CDA in Preschool education. I have also tutored for Bryan ISD and have my Manager Food Handlers Certification. I am finishing up my student teaching semester at Franklin High School where I taught Principles, Floral Design, and Ag Leadership. I also trained our Floriculture team. My passions include wildlife, ecology, food science, and horticulture. I am a firm believer in learning to communicate and integrating communication skills into education. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, and baking.
