Theme 1:
Just like me, Akash Jothi is taking the class (CSCE 445) to learn about media consumption on different devices, especially since media consumption has become increasingly integrated into our daily lives.
Theme 2:
Upon observing Erika Yao's, Vivian Vo's, and others' websites, Spotify seems to be the most popular music streaming app among the students in the class. This aligns with the current social groupings between Spotify versus Apple Music users. Additionally, both of them enjoy listening to K-pop, which is my favorite genre of music at the moment.
Theme 3:
From Andrew Shang's and Ryan Son's websites, I noticed that Reddit is a commonly used social media platform for computer science majors. This may also be due to the fact that Texas A&M students use Reddit to search up school-related information such as course recommendations and social organizations to join.
I would revise my media categorization by putting it in a more readable format. Currently, it is in a brach like structure, but I saw many of the other students organize theirs in tables and paragraph sections. This made it easier for me to read their media consumption and enabled some to include pictures of the games they play, shows the watch, and devises they use.
Additionally, I noticed that some student's organized their hierarchy with root categories related to senses: audio and visual. I believe this would have added depth to my organization and help me better understand my own media consumption.
