Dr. Timothy P. Scott is vice provost for student success and has held numerous leadership positions, including interim provost and executive vice president. Dr. Scott joined the faculty of Biology in 1990. He co-directs the Center for Mathematics and Science Education, which has received more than $30 million dollars in funding under his leadership.
Dr. Scott oversees the Academic Success Center, LAUNCH, the Math Learning Center, the Office for Student Success, the University Writing Center, and Undergraduate Studies. During his tenure Texas A&M has seen unprecedented increases in retention and graduation rates. He has also led efforts on course redesign of high enrollment courses to increase student success and where possible, adoption of Open Education Resources.
