Online encyclopedia with access to articles, images and primary sources
Variety of databases excellent for research in any subject. Use Gale Power Search to search all of them, or select an individual database. Gale eBooks lets you research curated eBook collections. Gale High School is a great all-purpose database. Gale Science and Literature are subject focused databases.
Best for research on current and controversial topics
Excellent resource for geography and history. Includes summaries of information on countries, states and provinces
We have a schoolwide NYT subscription. You can access as long as you are connected to school wifi on campus - no login is needed. Access is not available from home or remotely.

ADVANCED GOOGLE SEARCHING
Advanced Google Search is a great way to find resources. Limit your search to .edu for university research, museum and library resources. Limit to .gov for goverment resources such as the Library of Congress, the National Archives, Smithsonian resources, presidential libraries and other government institutions.
CITATION HELP:
NoodleTools - Every student now has access to a NoodleTools account - simply sign in with Google using your Tampa Prep e-mail address. You can export citations here from our databases, create new citations from websites, organize your projects using folders, and take notes using this tool. Purdue OWL MLA Formatting and Style Guide - For all your MLA formatting questions. Great for unusual sources that might not be easy to cite with generators.
How To Cite AI Results in MLA - This resource explains how to cite results/information from AI in MLA format. (Please make sure you follow Tampa Prep policy if using AI and check with your teacher first).
