State Awards of Achievement

The district shall present the Golden State Seal of Merit to graduating high school students whose mastery of the high school curriculum in core curriculum areas has been outstanding and eligible to receive special recognition.

The district shall present the State Seal of Biliteracy to graduating high school students who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. 

The district shall present the State Seal of Civic Engagement to graduating high school students who demonstrate excellence in civics education and participation and have demonstrated an understanding of the U.S. Constitution, the California Constitution, and the democratic system of government.
