Drawing Emerging Life
We will sit outside the school and draw the Emerging Life sculpture that is in the main entrance / the front of the school.
You will use 2B drawing pencil in your sketchbook.
School Taonga - Meeting with Mrs Moore
Cut out the photographs of the school taonga and arrange them onto 2 pages of your sketcbook. Use the document of what Mrs Moore said in her presentation to help you to write brief notes with the pictures.
Te Poho O Tāmaki
Visit Te Poho O Tāmaki.
Take a selection of photographs of both the inside and the outside. Make sure you have a selection of
details / close ups
medium views showing how elements link together
landscape / far away views showing the whole thing
Print off a selection of these photogrpahs and add them to the 2 pages in your sketchbook.
Drawing the carvings at the Marae
Choose one of the carved elements of the marae to draw.
Draw it on brown paper and use the marker pens and white pencil and 2B pencil to put shading onto it.
Arrange this drawing onto your sketchbook 2 pages along with everything else.
