Every standard has a defined credit value; one credit represents approximately 10 hours of teaching, learning and assessment. This includes teaching time, homework and assessment time.
Next, you need to plan what you are going to do with your students each week so that you ensure that you cover everything needed. (in this example, it is over 6 weeks)
You then need to do this for each standard that you want to teach over a year and then put them into a year planner so you can see how the timing for the whole course looks like over the course of the year.
The level descriptors for this document come from the standard document. Breaking down the standard and planning what the students will do at each level ensures that your planning gives the students the opportunity to achieve up to excellence level.
