A thesis statement is ONE sentence that states your point of view, it also states your main idea for your written essay or report. The statement is placed in the introduction of your report/essay.

In L2 English you will be asked to write a thesis statement for your Connections essay - 91104. You will read/view four texts (novel/short story/film/song), from here you will need to think about how the fours texts are connected. This is where your thesis statement comes in. Once you have decided how the texts connect - you will write a thesis statement that states your point of view, your main idea on how they connect.
