Tracey Hawkins: Safety, Security & AI Cybersecurity Expert
Since 1995, “Tracey, the Safety Lady” Hawkins has been a leading voice in personal safety, workplace security, and the fast-evolving world of Gen AI ethics and cybersecurity. Tracy first joined the Professional Services department at MIBOR in November 2013, moving up the ranks to her current role as Director of Professional Services in 2022. Tracy provides members and consumers problem resolution assistance as well as information on license law, the Code of Ethics and education. She is the staff liaison to the Professional Standards Committee, Boone County Division and Past Presidents Master Mind Council.
With over 25 years of experience, Tracy has spent the majority of her career in the real estate industry working at several brokerages prior to her 12-year tenure with MIBOR. Tracy loves to hike, read, attend concerts, listen to true crime podcasts and try new recipes. Tracy believes that working with and helping our members, leadership, internal culture, values, personal growth opportunities, and co-workers (that become friends) all make MIBOR a great place to work.
Ellen is an experienced business litigation attorney specializing in real estate, general corporate matters, and professional liability defense. With a focus on defending businesses across various industries, she also represents residential and commercial real estate brokerages and other professionals in many areas throughout Indiana, including appraisers, accountants, inspectors, lawyers, title companies and other specialties. Ellen handles matters with the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, Real Estate Commission, Department of Insurance, Professional Licensing Agency, Civil Rights Commission, and various other federal, state and local regulatory agencies, boards, and trade associations.
As outside general counsel to businesses and real estate brokerages statewide, she provides comprehensive legal services, including litigation, employment matters, transactions, contracts, regulatory compliance, policy development, and risk management. Ellen serves on the Indiana Association of Realtors® Forms Committee which drafts contracts for use in residential real estate transactions by real estate brokers in Indiana by buyers and sellers. She represents buyers and sellers and assists when they need legal representation in connection with real property matters and routine buyer/seller contracts or sales.
Ellen is AV Preeminent peer-rated by Martindale Hubbell® for professional excellence and is fourteen-year Indiana SuperLawyer honoree. She is the former Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Litigation Section and has been admitted to practice in Indiana State Courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Ellen is a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and served as Town Attorney for Williams Creek from 2007-2016. Ellen belongs to the Indiana State Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Association where she received the President’s Award for service to the Association (2009 and 2011) and is a former Chair of the Women in the Law Division.
Ellen earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana-Bloomington Maurer School of Law in May, 1997, where she served as Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Journal and won Second Place in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. She graduated from DePauw University, Phi Beta Kappa, in May, 1994 and delivered the student commencement address as the senior award winner of the prestigious Walker Cup.
Dave Schmitz is Vice President and General Counsel of Title Services, LLC. Dave joined the F.C. Tucker Company in 1986 as a residential agent in the Keystone at the Crossing office. He left Tucker in order to complete law school and MBA program at Indiana University and after 5 years in private practice doing primarily land use, zoning, and real estate transactions work, rejoined the Tucker Company and its title company in 1998. Dave oversees the legal issues affecting the title company, prepares legal documents for closings, and advises Tucker agents and managers regarding legal and title issues impacting their transactions. Dave lives in Westfield with his wife Nancy. They have two adult children, daughter Riley and son Drew, and recently became grandparents for the first time.

Jamy Engebretson has worked in the title industry for 27 years, with 25 of those years at Title Services, LLC, and currently is President of Title Services. Jamy is a graduate from the University of Evansville and a graduate of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. She was admitted to practice in the State of Indiana in November 2002. Her title experience is in searching, title examining, closing, and managing. Professionally, she is a member of the American Land Title Association and the Indiana Land Title Association. In addition to managing Title Services, she spends much of her professional efforts educating REALTORS® on the fundamentals of the title industry. Personally, Jamy also volunteers her time on the Executive Board of the Fishers Dugout Club and the Hamilton Southeastern High Ability Broad Based Planning Committee as well as various volunteer hours with her kids sporting and educational activities.
Jamy is married to her husband, Eric Engebretson, also an attorney. They have three children Will, Eli and Ellie.
