Create Task Project Due to College Board: Monday, April 30, 2025 (Before 8:59pm PST):
This performance task requires you to develop a program on a topic that interests you or one that solves a problem. During the completion of this performance task, you will iteratively design, implement, and test your program.
The second section of the AP Computer Science Principles Exam consists of a through-course performance task where students will develop a computer program of their choice and a written response section based on the performance task that is completed during the end-of-course AP exam. Students will be provided 9 hours of in-class time to complete their program, video, and Personalized Project Reference.
On the end-of-course AP exam, students will respond to four distinct prompts, Written Response 1, Written Response 2(a), Written Response 2(b), and Written Response 2(c), related to the code contained in the student-authored Personalize Project Reference. Students will have access to this reference while responding to these prompts. The four categories listed below align to the four prompts.
Written Response 1: Program Design, Function, and Purpose
Written Response 2(a): Algorithm Development
Written Response 2(b): Errors and Testing
Written Response 2(c): Data and Procedural Abstraction
