Elevator Pitches are a good way to share as much about yourself in as little time that is needed. You will also find that your elevator pitch will change over time. 

Your elevator pitch communicates who you are, what you’re looking for, your skills, and your experience. It’s typically about 30 seconds. Short and sweet! The idea behind having an elevator speech is that you are prepared to share this information with anyone, at anytime, even in an elevator.

When you meet someone in a professional environment it is customary to introduce yourself and it’s socially common to be asked about who you are. This can be at a school event, a career fair, or even a social engagement where someone is genuinely interested in learning about you.
