Science Symposiums are designed to be an opportunity for scientists to share and learn from each other. At symposiums, scientists meet people who are doing similar work and they build connections that help grow not only their learning, but the learning of the scientific community as a whole.
Taconic Hills Invitational Symposium would like to foster this kind of connection & community building.
Students will meet in Cafeteria and Choose Session table to participate in.
Please complete google form of session interests so that tables will have categories that reflect your science
At 12:00 all students will gather in the Cafeteria for Breakout Sessions.
Each table will be labeled with a “Breakout” category.
Students will choose the category that best fits their scientific area or need
Categories will be based on students’ field of science- for example
Vertebrate animal research
Computer Modeling
Survey based research
Environmental Science
Physics
Etc.
All Breakout session tables will include students from all levels of the research program
Students will share their current research focus and ask each other’s thoughts on what might or might not work best
Students are welcome to share contact information with each other to continue staying in touch
