Hi, I'm Tabea, I work at the intersection of AI, safety, and security. My career as Technical Product Manager has been dedicated to building solutions that protect users and keep platforms healthy at scale.

Starting in 2017, I built Twincler, a company that developed novel technology to safeguard content platforms and their users at scale. Our abuse intelligence system identified irregular behavior across modalities (text, images, video) and languages in real-time, fully automated, and with no human analysts. On average, Twincler detected harmful content 83 days earlier than industry-leading systems (learn more about Twincler's case studies).

Twincler was trusted by major tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, protecting over 3 billion users in real-time from scaled abuse, synthetic engagement, copyright infringement, attacks on recommendation and ranking systems, harassment, disinformation, and previously unknown abuse types. 

As Founder, CEO, and Technical Product Lead, I led product development, identified market opportunities, developed strategic partnerships, and navigated the business in a rapidly evolving and ambiguous regulatory environment on both sides of the Atlantic. My focus on safety and security extends to education and policy. Since October 2022, I've contributed to the Stanford University Trust & Safety Teaching Consortium, helping develop and maintain an open-source syllabus for the next generation of trust & safety professionals. My focus areas include understanding and mitigating scaled platform abuse, manipulation of recommendation and ranking systems, and synthetic engagement.

In 2018, I had the honor of being invited by then-German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel to the first national summit on Artificial Intelligence, where I provided expertise for Germany's first AI strategy. Upon request, I've offered an expert opinion to the German Parliament’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence on the topic of "AI and technology-driven disinformation." I also served on the advisory board for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC, contributing to describing strategies of foreign propaganda and influence operations and developing responses.

My work has been recognized by industry leaders, including Boston Consulting Group and Manager Magazin, who named me among the "Top 100 Female Managers in German Business" and one of seven "women to watch."

I'm an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIGAI) and an alumna of the American Council on Germany (ACG) and American Jewish Committee (AJC) Young Leaders Program.
