Reading
Students are expected to read at least 20 minutes a day and to keep their reading logs current. Reading logs will be collected every Friday!
Writing
Students will be writing daily in their journals. I will read and respond each night. We will be working on sentence structure, organizing our thoughts, using appropriate transitions, spelling and vocabulary this Fall.
Social Studies
Fifth grade will be learning about United States History and Sixth grade will focus on World History. We will use Studies Weekly newspapers, our online classroom, and projects for our curriculum this year!
Science
We will be beginning the school year learning about Life Science! In the next two weeks, we will be studying cells!
Religion
As the oldest classes in the school, we will be leading several masses throughout the school year. We will have prayer buddies in the younger grades and will be learning how to pray from our hearts every day. I'm excited to discuss our Religion and God's love for each of us with your children this year!
