If you’re a December college graduate, this is often a quiet window before starting your full time job. If you are an accounting professional, spring into summer, starting in early May is a quiet time, and often extended office break before the next busy stretch begins. During your quiet period, the smartest move you can make is simple: begin preparing for the CPA or EA exam.
Maybe you’ve already purchased a CPA or EA review course but feel overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or unclear on how to build a study plan. That’s exactly where I come in. Spend some well used time working with a concierge-style coach who can help you design a structured study plan and show you how to get the most out of the materials you already own.
Success is not based on the number of hours that you study, it is based on how efficiently you study using the hours you invest.
I don’t offer “guarantees to pass.” What I do offer is 25 years of experience as a professor, national CPA review instructor, book author, and student coach—experience that helps you build a realistic, effective path that increases your odds of success.
Whether you’re at UT Austin, BYU, UIUC, Michigan, Penn, Berkeley, UCLA, USC, NYU, Columbia, or any other accounting program*, I work with students nationwide who want a smarter, more personalized approach to passing the exam.

I focus research on innovative approaches to education within my discipline (Accounting and Taxation)—especially bridging the gap between academia and professional practice. I make sure that students can bridge the gap between the classroom and what the profession expects of graduates.
I also have over 50 academic publications and presentations given nationally on a variety of academic and professional topics, many of which focused on accounting education and professional readiness.
I have also been heavily involved in leadership through various capacities in the American Accounting Association, the academic society for accounting faculty. My roles have most exclusively been involved in the education arm of the society. Working with faculty to ensure that students are academically prepared for success and properly advised to be ready to succeed within the profession ,starting with the freshman year.
My extensive background as a senior faculty member, program leader, and academic leader in the profession allow me to coach you with the skills that work as observed from firsthand experience. I have seen firsthand and know what leads to success and what hinders success!
