PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTS
PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTS
PFTs are a series of tests that measure how efficiently your lungs:
Take in air (lung capacity).
Move oxygen into your bloodstream.
Exhale air (lung flow and efficiency).
These tests provide critical insights into lung function and are often used to detect conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, and other respiratory disorders.
PFTs typically take 30–60 minutes and involve minimal discomfort.
SLEEP MEDICINE
Sleep medicine focuses on understanding and addressing conditions that affect your ability to sleep well or stay awake during the day.
Advanced Diagnostic Testing
Sleep Studies: Overnight or home-based studies to monitor sleep patterns, breathing, and brain activity.
Polysomnography: A detailed analysis of your sleep stages and disturbances.
Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT): Assessments for excessive daytime sleepiness or narcolepsy.
ASTHMA TREATMENTS
Asthma is a chronic condition that affects the airways in your lungs, causing inflammation, narrowing, and increased mucus production. This can lead to symptoms such as:
Wheezing
Chest tightness
Persistent coughing
Asthma symptoms can range from mild to severe and may be triggered by allergens, exercise, respiratory infections, or environmental factors.
Diagnosis
Our comprehensive asthma diagnosis process may include:
Lung Function Tests: Such as spirometry or peak flow measurements to assess breathing capacity.
Allergy Testing: To identify triggers that may worsen asthma symptoms.
Detailed Health History: To understand your symptoms and any underlying conditions.
