Roundabout at Brint & King

Here is some information from the Lucas County Engineer regarding the Brint & King roundabout (aka rotary, traffic circle). Attached is an architectural drawing and a report from the project's public hearing.

The construction will require the closing of the intersection to through traffic for a period of 45 days. This closure is to occur between June 15th and August 15th, 2014 to minimize disruption to school transportation. The planned detour route utilizes Centennial Road, Sylvania Avenue, and McCord Road. Access to abutting properties will be maintained during construction.

The project was designed where the center of the intersection was shifted towards the SW corner in such a manner that the fence for The Pines will not be disturbed. Right of way was required from 2 property owners, but the right of way taken was on the roadway side (outside) of the existing fence.
