Device Specific Information

Students are required to use an Apple iPad

• Minimum 9.7 inch screen

• Run Apple iOS version 16 or newer

• Students are also required to bring a pair of headphones (over the ear headphones or earbuds)

• Students in Years 3-6 may wish to also use a wireless keyboard 

Hardware

● The device must support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networks.

● The device must support the 802.11n wireless protocol.

● It is recommended that the device should support the 802.11ac wireless protocol.

● The device should have a battery life of a minimum of 8 hours.

Operating System

The device must be running either the current public release version or the immediate previous major version of the following operating systems

• Apple MacOS v13 or newer

• Apple iOS v16 or newer
  
  

SCS does not support the use of Linux Distribution Software.

The device must be running an up-to-date Antivirus and Antimalware program.

Out-of-scope of Support

- All support and maintenance other than what is listed under In-scope of Support is not supported by ICT and is not the responsibility of the school;

- Fault diagnosis, warranty claims and hardware and software repairs are not the responsibility of the school;

- BYO devices shall not be bound to the school domain;

- BYO devices shall not have a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) provided for by the school; and BYO devices shall not have school licensed software installed on them unless this is specifically permitted in the terms of the software agreement.

Family Sharing allows you share your iTunes, App Store purchases, and iBooks purchases with everyone in your family (up to 6 members). This allows parents to purchase necessary Apps only once. Family Sharing also allows parents to create child accounts so that their children have to ask permission to buy content.
