Working Log

Throughout our whole project, we had to complete numerous calculations. Due to this, we needed to conduct a great deal of research. To get an average for each factor of life, we conducted a survey for the class, to understand and calculate the averages. Our research on job keeper, government benefits and job satisfaction was from the official NSW Government website. Take away, homemade and pre-made meal costs were calculated by numerous surveys, as well as internet research, using reliable sites.

With all of this information gained and recorded, we were able to start calculating how much an average family spends per week on needs. This is exactly how we calculated and gained the data used for this project.

Data Analysis:

The data analysis group collected data from a range of different sources and brought them together to calculate averages for our basic necessities and bills. Underneath us is the learning journal which is a record of the data analysers challenges they faced and how they learnt the information necessary to fulfil the category.

Learning Journal

The groups are organised well and we will be able to smash through this project. We have groups that track our progress, putting everything together and many other groups that are contributing in the project.

Group 1: Managers

Group 2: Final Presentation

Group 3: Data Analysis

Group 4: Government benefits

Group 5: Food group

Difficulties encountered

71 found it difficult having people fill out the form with appropriate questions to gather the information that we needed, our data analysis group found it hard to average such large statistics without a calculator. Our Managers had trouble getting all of the work to the presenters at the end but we managed to complete our presentation despite these challenges.
