In visual arts, composition is the placement or arrangement of visual elements in an artwork.
Reflect on the following questions:
I wonder…
what I want to say?
what my big idea is?
what message do I want to communicate through my work?
how I am going to say it?
how I am going to arrange the visual elements in a way that communicates my message?
2. In your journal, exercise book or on paper begin to sketch your draft Christmas story artwork, thinking about the composition. That is, the placement and arrangement of your visual items.
3. With your choice of art equipment, start to test out colours, lines, texture, shapes and depth.
4. You may like to come back to your draft to refine your ideas. Or test out new compositions and ideas.
