CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Positive Behavior Support In School
We will continue to implement Positive Behavior Support in School (PBSIS) through the motto Comet Pride. Specifically in our classroom, we offer individual incentives and classroom incentives in order to encourage and promote positive behavior. Students receive green tickets for individual accountability. At the end of the week, we pull one green ticket from the bin for a prize. At the end of the month, all of the green tickets go down to the office. They will pull from those tickets for comet cash winners. Our class uses classdojo for the whole classroom reward. When the entire class is on task or following directions, they will all get a point. When they receive a total of 400 pts, they will get an extra recess.

Classroom Consequences for Violations of the School Rules:.
Verbal warning or cue issued by teacher (should be documented- this is at the teacher’s discretion).
Possible relocation of student seat or time out in another classroom.
Parent phone call/follow up email addressing the conduct violation.
Teacher issued lunch detention.
Referral to I&RS Committee.
Referral to Guidance (if warranted) for repeated non-serious behaviors.
Referral to the main office.

Hi, I´m Mrs. Steinmetz and I´m excited to be one of your child's teachers this year!! It is my 20th year teaching and my 15th year teaching 5th grade at Swedesboro Woolwich. We will be teaching Math and Science which have always been my two favorite subjects. Before I started my teaching career, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Susquehanna University. When I was there, I was given an amazing opportunity to live in Sweden for a semester. Also, I received my Master's Degree at George Mason University when I was teaching in Arlington, Va.

Hello! I am Ms. Hart, and I am very excited to teach your 5th Grade student this year! I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern University in Pennsylvania. I hold two certifications including Elementary Education and Special Education. I have been tutoring students in a variety of subject areas and have taught in numerous school and grade level settings for over 25 years.

I have three lovely daughters and one cute dog. Kara is a CPA in Houston, TX. Anna is a Civil Engineer with J. Fletcher Creamer. Mia is studying for a degree in Social Work and is a Behavior Technician who loves working with students on the autism spectrum.
