About Me
My name is Marissa Smith. This is my 8th year teaching 6th grade for the SWSD, but this is my 12th year as a teacher.
I went to Rowan University and graduated with BA degrees in Elementary Education and Mathematics. I am certified in Special Education and Middle School Mathematics. I am also an Orton-Gillingham Teacher, so I am passionate about supporting students with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Justin. We have two children: Aidan and Camryn, and a dog, Norah. :)
In my spare time I like to listen to Taylor Swift, read, and quilt!

make choices that promote learning.
choices that facilitate learning: coming to class prepared, participating in class, "staying in your lane"
choices that deter learning: putting others down, not completing classwork/homework, distracting others
...
if these issues arise, you can expect me to: chat with student first, chat with family next, chat with mr. kelly last, so we can... work toward developing positive habits!
