In class, we strive to reach our amazing individual potential each and every day. In order to do so, it is very important that we follow our classroom rules so that we can create an environment in which we all feel comfortable. We are always proud of the wonderful effort our children make each and every day. :) To reward students for their wonderful accomplishments and efforts, We will be using tickets as a class and whole school reward. Throughout the year we will use various methods such as punch card rewards, teamwork rewards, ticket rewards for completing certain assignments in IREADY as well as some other programs used within the classroom.
**Parents we will be emailing you the sign up for Classroom Dojo which we use for communication purposes only.**
PBSIS: We will continue to implement Positive Behavior Support in School (PBSIS) through the motto Comet Pride. For more information, visit the the Harker webpage under the Character Education tab.
Classroom Consequences for Violations of the School Rules:
The following consequences should be posted in every room for students to view, and should be adhered to by all staff (teachers and support staff).
Verbal warning or cue issued by teacher (should be documented- clipboard, dojo; this is at the teacher’s discretion).
Possible relocation of student seat or time out in another classroom.
Parent phone call/follow up email addressing the conduct violation.
Teacher issued lunch detention.
Referral to I&RS Committee.
Referral to Guidance (if warranted) for repeated non-serious behaviors.
Referral to the main office.
