What is a Mystery Reader?
Mystery Readers are special guests who visit our classroom to read a story to the students. Mystery Readers can be parents, grandparents, older siblings, or other relatives. Occasionally, mystery readers may be staff members from our school.
We're in search of a ........Mystery Reader!
I would like to invite any parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives, or other special people to surprise your child by being a “Mystery Reader”. Students LOVE having their family, friends, and relatives be a part of our educational experience to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class. We are very flexible with dates and time, please let me know if you have an available date. We can work together to schedule a date/ time that works best.
In addition, be prepared to answer a few questions by the class about how you use reading in the workplace or at home. This will be an opportunity for the children to continue to learn about the importance of reading!
Remember, you are a mystery to the class, so try not to tell your child when your scheduled day is.
Please email me, or drop me a “secret” note if you have any further questions. We can’t wait to meet our Mystery Readers!
Please email me at aditonno@swsdk6.com with three clues for me to read to the students before your virtual visit. There should be 3 clues that start general and become more specific. By the third clue, your child should be able to guess you are the special mystery reader for the day!
On the day you are our Mystery Reader…
Please sign into the main office. Make sure to bring your photo ID. The office staff member will let you know when you can come down to the classroom for the big reveal!
