PBSIS Classroom Management Plan

SCHOOLWIDE PBSIS: Daily STAR tickets can be earned for good choices and going above and beyond                         (model behavior & kindness, good character, superb effort, etc.)

Dear parent(s)/guardian(s),

As teachers, our role is to teach your child and to help them grow. We LOVE that role! We want 

our classroom to be a place of learning, and we strive to make sure all students in our classroom 

have an opportunity to learn. In order to create a classroom environment conducive to learning, 

it 's essential that our classroom management plan is in place and supported by you at home.

Our classroom rules are as follows:

1. Listen and follow directions

2. Use hand signals and stay on task

3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself

4. Respect your classmates, school, and teachers

Every time a classroom rule is broken, a consequence is given.

Our classroom consequences are as follows:

1. Redirect - Verbal/nonverbal reminder of rules from teacher

2. Movement - Temporary movement to a different area within classroom

3. Think Time - Private time to fill out a short reflection note

4. Dojo/Email/Letter Home - Teacher contact with parent(s)/guardian(s)

We want you to know that consequences are not bad. They are necessary to teach children

that their words/actions can affect themselves, their environment, and others around them.

In order to build and maintain trust with all students, we will be as consistent as possible.

We also want you to know that behavior is learned and can be changed. Children’s brains

are so moldable since they are still developing. We have high expectations for all of our 

students to adhere to our classroom rules so that we can have a positive classroom 

environment and give all  students access to learning.
